I want some bluish/purple looking headlights for my 00 Civic. Can someone here please recommend me a set and the best place to go to buy them? A friend said he thought I needed 5500 through 6000. Not sure what the number is for....

you being in georgia, and me being in georgia, take my advice.

you WILL get pulled over.

any color other than "white light" (stock) colored headlights is illegal.

instead of the police chasing child molesters and rapists, it is much easier for them to pull people over for "colored" headlights.

i have been pulled over for running yellow lights (not for looks, but they genuinely helped me see better) twice. first was a warning, second was a ticket... not the same officer or department, either...

just fyi...

The numbers are Kelvin ratings. The hotter the bulb, the different wavelength of color.

If you're going to do bulbs swaps, just go for the gold and do an HID conversion.

Just do HID conversion, but since it sounds like your laws regarding that are the same as my city, maybe stick to 6000k, where i am they are the whitest you can legally get anything other than white, and you will be hassled

What part number would these be? I looked at the Nokya bulbs and couldn't figure out which set to order.....

You will need much highier then your friend said. Your talking 10-12,000k
5500-6000k, Is the reccomend kevin rating. Which will give you a white with a hint of blue.


You will be loosing light output going with 12,000k.

12,000k and up are the pink n purple lights...me personally i dont get along with johnnie law so well so im goin for either 6000k or 8000k....stock-ish looking white light

It isnt very good, but its all i can find on my phone, ill look for a better one when i get home.

These are for an HID conversion kit, it'll come with all the wires, ballast, and possibly bulbs, little bit more expensive than just the different bulbs but way better light output

The bulb will depend on you headlight, on your headlight it'll give you a number like H1 or something, unless that's just here, but that's how i had to find mine.

you can just buy the bulbs, and if you really want the color then yes, go with the above that was said about the 12,000 k
They'll give you close to the color if you like
