Default Rebuild or Buy another? H22 Tranny question.

My h22 civic has a problem getting into 5th gear. I basically have to slam it in. Prior to this, it just grinds when I shift into 5th. Also it takes more force to shift to 1st gear than it used to. Should I rebuild or buy another tranny? I'd like to do the most economical way possible. Thanks!

Rebuild.....if you buy another you may or may not get one that will last a while.

it will cost you from a few hundred to a few thousand depending on local labor costs, quality of work, warrantee, and what parts are damaged.

If you've got the cash, you might want to think about dropping in an LSD while your at it... assuming that you don't already have the JDM tranny w/lsd option. Everyone that I talk to says that LSD is some of the best money spent performance wise.

I've been looking for an OEM H22 LSD so they can put it in while the tranny is out but there isn't a single place with one. If I could buy one, I would definately put it in. So someone point me in the right direction! Thanks!
