Suspention Techniques makes a nice kit. Not too expensive either.

You might want to advise him to get the front and rear kit at the same time.

I wouldn't go with a bar any smaller than 22mm. I would either go with a Type R, or a Comptech 22mm rear sway bar. Also make sure to get a Beaks kit.

I have a sus tech 19mm rear and it was one of the best mods I have made to my car.

Also comptech offers a monster of a rear bar.

i'm thinking about getting one... has ANYBODY heard of subframe tearout from using this? i hear it has some sort of reinforcement that comes with it correct?

19mm and up will tear out your subframe without some sort of reinforcement (such as the beaks kit).

Also remember folks... bigger doesn't mean better. You are trying to achieve the right front/rear balance, not buy the biggest bar on the market.

I've got the Skunk2 21mm bar with King subframe plates welded on, a Neuspeed lower brace and Saner Perf Fab collars to keep it from moving sideways. Over 2 years with this setup, love it.
