rear subframe swaybar question
Ok so I just bought a asr subframe brace and a 22 mm swaybar and I was wondering if I need to buy anything else except the endlinks and the mounting bracket for the bar and bushings?
If I need anything else let me know I don't wanna come up short when I put it all together

Re: rear subframe swaybar question
that should be all just make sure that you dont have stock LAC's, I heard that on the dx lx and ex LAC's there is no place to bolt in the end links.

i think eks lca's came with a spot for the rear swaybar. they were all interchangable from dx to si, and the si had a swaybar option i beleive using stock lcas

yes, you can put the sway on, just zip tie it up so it doesn't hit or drag on anything.
Use OEM LCAs and not BLOX. The bushings will go bad in a matter of months even if you clock them right. Get Energy Suspension bushings for the OEMs if you're worried about bushings.

With a 22mm on an EJ/EK, you may want to go with a Beak's or ASR kit, especially if you're planning to run it hard.
Some people have been known to have problems tearing subframes out with big swaybars on these cars. Some people have no problems at all... If you go bigger than 22mm later, I'd definitely go with subframe reinforcement.
Is it a hollow or solid bar?

Re: rear subframe swaybar question
Do people talk from experience here or is it internet hear say?
Whoever says dx rear lca's dont have provisions for a sway bar; probably DOES NOT have a rear sway bar.
The only thing the si has and dx doesnt have in the rear is the 2 welded nuts on the backside of the subframe to bolt in your d-brackets.
But your asr kit should have that in the hardware.
I DO speak from experience as i installed this same setup less than 24 hours ago.
Your stock lca's are perfect. Aftermarket will draw attention to your expensive sway bar setup and do nothing else.

Re: rear subframe swaybar question
I had mine for like 3 months, installed them right and with just a little aggressive driving, they were making popping noises and the inner part of the bushings were sagging. They're garbage as far as I see it.

Re: rear subframe swaybar question
You can go on ebay and buy custom d-brackets
With your own specs i.e. Width/height/ mounting hole distance etc. If they dont have your size contact one of the sellers and see if they can order you some.
Ps i thought you had 22mm sway bar and maybe contact the manufacturer if you bought without hardware
