Rear Shock Trouble
Just tried to replace rear shocks in a 93 Del Sol, & could not remove old bolts on the lower end. The nut comes off, but the bolt seems frozen in the bushing. Would not come out after banging on it for 10 minutes. Any Ideas?

Re: Rear Shock Trouble (LM Del Sol)
Ide say buy some new shocks and just saw the old one off and get all new bolts because the ones you have on there are prolly really old. So it might be time for some new ones anyways. But if you dont have the money just look at your situation and see how you can releave pressure off the screw as much as possible, and use a screw driver and a hammer if your sure you have it unthreaded as much as possible and start banging away.

I am going through the same situation with my hatch...I just decided to replace the damn bushings with new ones from Energy Suspension (part # ES 16.3104R). It was either that or buy some used stock lower control arms....Oh yeah, the new bushings were around $37 shipped from Summit Racing. Give them a call b/c they usually stock this item.

Re: Rear Shock Trouble (NVturbo)
yO Same **** happend w/ my sol, it suxed But yea see my carfax said my car was from Colorado and some places salt there roads over there for the snow, And that salt ******* fuses all the bolts 2gether. I just went to get my Skunk 2s installed on my stock shocks, and i ended up having to buy my AGXs way sooner then i wanted 2 and new lower control arms cuz both rear shocks broke and both bolts were fused in there that theyu broke inside!

Oh yeah..by the way the correct part # for the bushing of the rear shock attachment is Energy Suspension "ESN 16.8103R"...the others i listed are the two other bushings on that same lower control arm. This kit cost bout $18 bucks...
