if you have a cusco cage they also sell a rear tensioner type bar which works like the rear pillar bar but it connects on the roll bar itself diagonally across the rear so to stiffen the rear so to say; also is an adjustable piece as well i'd prolly do that over the rear pillar bar

He Kid1320, the J's Racing rear pillar bar does not fit a coupe. At least that's what I've been told by Sheng from JDMHondaparts. Does any company make a rear pillar bar for the 96-00 Civic coupe?

Re: Rear Pillar bar on a coupe? (ITRacer121)
sorry to bring this up, but has anybody found for sure whether or not somebody makes one for coupes? Still seems useless in a coupe, but interested in trying it out.

What pillar do we have? I can only think of our front seat belts...

Re: Rear Pillar bar on a coupe? (scLSteg)
There's really no point on a coupe because as said before, the rear tray pretty much takes care of of that. Only way it could do any good really is to remove the minimal flex in that area due to the window being there. I think this mod only benefits cars with hatches, as its not just a hole for a window, but an actual body panel thats not "part of the car", which would cause much more chance of flex. On a coupe id say its merely bling.
Since the bar makes use of the backseat pretty much useless and unsafe for anyone to be there, Why not just get a autopower roll bar. My buddy installed one in his coupe and you could tell it was doing something. Afterall, those who want the pillar bar in the coupe are going after chassis stiffening, correct? (or maybe for some its just show points, oh well not my car). Perhaps a simple 4 point could do more and offer a bit of protection.
And quit giving the one guy a lecture on harness placement. He said autocross, not track. We dont need this thread turning into a harness placement debate.

yea same here. hatches and 92-95 coupes have the rear seatbelts mounted on the pillar. us 96-00 coupe guys are left out for the blinging c-pillar bar.... unless someone fabbed somethin..
