Re: re-located my ECU (Simple)
if you forget to take it out one time...and it gets broken into that time.. the thieve will get A.a surprise to see theres no ecu in the car... because its moved from the stock location or B. a nice gift when they can just grab it out of the glove box with no problems lol

Re: re-located my ECU (Simple)
I would think that if they are in the car to take stuff they are going to look in easily accessable compartments for any easy pickin's. I think that makes your ECU more of a target, not less.

nice, now when someone breaks in to steal your stereo (more likley than the car) they will get your ECU and probably cut the harness off of it, great idea

i think the point of relocating it was make it easier to take out when he parks his car

Dude, I can't believe how many ******* ignorant people we have on this message- board. No where in his post was the word "hide" mentioned. But, this was.."so i re-located mine for a much easier place to take it out everynight." I swear it amazes me how many bitchy little girls are on here trying to start ******* drama. Get your **** straight before you talk. Damn!...Peace
By the way excellent idea, good thinking.

Re: re-located my ECU (b_cruz.)
I just leave my ECU under the floormat on the passenger side, so it's very easy to remove, and I still get to use my glove box. I was just to lazy to bolt it back to the kick panel when I got done w/ my swap, and now that I have been playing around w/ ECU chipping it has been very convenient where it's at Just another idea for ya....
