Random thump while driving?
So this just started over the weekend. Ill be driving in gear and the car will just randomly thump, its really quick it kind of feels like an auto tranny shift but I have a manual. I have a d16z6 with 156,xxx on it. I havent fully assessed the situation yet but could it be a random misfire? I just refilled my trans fluid and it seemed to be a little better but still happens when im going about 1000rpm-2000rpm. Maybe a bad isb? or a bad axle? bad coilpack?plugs?
Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated

Re: Random thump while driving?
It may be what EJ8 MAN suggested it is or your ignition coil (in the dizzy). The ignition coil on my auto eg was either loose or bad and would give me that problem....along with a lot of black smoke at times lol
