radio problem help

radio problem help
i am puting a cd player is my 97 civic ex the problem is that the stock one was work before i try install the cd player. the stock one works in my crx and the cd player works in my car. the fuse 4 the radio blow so i put a new one in still nothing. u guy think i messed up the wiring system?? help

most likely the fuse blew again. this means you have a short. remove the radio and double check your wiring, something is grounding out.
i hope you used the aftermarket radio harness for this? you know, the one that connect to the factory harness and then you wire it up to the radio harness.

That doesn't sound right. One is supposed to be a constant 12V source, and the other is supposed to be ignition-switched.
BTW, in the future, try the Audio / Security/ Video forum for car audio questions or issues. That's what it's there for.

run a constant wire from your battery to replace the white with blue stripe wire if its an eg body style civic, and run the constant too the yellow wire, or else everytime you turn off your car your presets will reset along with the cd, nothing will stazy preset if you leave your yellow and red wire connected to your 12v ignition wire, i ran into this problem yesterday with my brand new alpine headunit, your constant 12v wire is bad on the harness, you can re-run the wire or just have a constant wire running from the battery or any other constant power source thats on your fuse box.
