Default radiator issue for 00 em1

I put a new rad in my car over the weekend. Its not an OEM but its supposed to be comporable. My issue is that the inlet and outlet holes are smaller than the OEM rad. almost a quarter inch smaller. I used warm clamps on the hoses but cant get the lower one to clamp tight enough. Should there be this much of a size difference between the two radiators?

might be a dx cx radiator..

return it they gave you the wrong one..

for ek they have 2 radiators that are identcial except for the outlet/inlet hose are smaller for the smaller motor..

if they dont have it go to autozone or if you have time pick up one on ebay
