Radiator hose question
my lower radiator hose blew out earlier this week and i went to pep boys to replace it and i just got a stock civic hose for my cx hatch but i am running a b16 out of a 2000 si.....so i put it on the radiator and it fits perfect but then when i try to put it on the block it seems way to small but i managed to make it fit, thinking it would be a temperary fix till i gop back to pep boys....it turns put that the 2000 si and cx motor uses the same hose same part number everything but it just doesnt seem right....the hose i took off is larger than the one i just got....just need to know if there is a differnce between the two hoses...
thanks in advance

Re: Radiator hose question (95redeg6)
They aren't the same hoses. I have the same setup as you. You can use a 1999-2000 civic si hose, which will fit your block great, but will have a small gap on the radiator if you are using a cx radiator(just use a pipe clamp to squeeze it down. Or you can use a hose from a Del Sol Si(the b16 model) and it will fit both the block and the radiator.

Re: Radiator hose question (Solo1B16Hatch)
Obviously, you got a different hose. It's best and safer if you have a radiator hose purposely made for your cx. I have my volvo radiator hose fit for my radiator and block; the rest of my volvo's parts is also made for each other so I was able to have it in top shape. And the more important is the fitting of hose to your radiator and the block. Having a different one wouldn't ensure its best performance and safety.
