i dont see why yellow would be a problem. here in georgia, as long as it's not blue or flashing you're ok. you'll get pulled over for impersonating a emergency vehicle... or something along those lines

Check you local and state laws, I know in the state of Illinois it reads something like "The only colors that can be visible from the front are white and amber. The only colors to be visible from the read is white, amber and red." I had Ion Plasma bulbs in my high beams and got pulled over once because they are a golden color. But go to your library and start thumbing through some law books.

The only stupid question is the one that isn't asked...

http://tlo2.tlc.state.tx.us/statutes/tn.toc.htm

Texas state statutes online. Check chapter 547, vehicle equipment. I read it briefly, it *looks* like you'd be ok.

OR

It never hurts to call your local police department and ask. If they're going to be enforcing the laws, then they will probably know them, and they might even appreciate your efforts at "keeping it legal" and asking before you go ahead and do it.

Just my two cents...
