What kit do you have, Give me pics/details and maybe I can walk you through it.

What car is this being installed on?

EDIT: Probably a JDM 92 DX Civic

By the looks of it, you'll only need to use the chrom/black hub. It looks like it replaces your other hub in the picture. That's just to get you started But i wouldn't know how to install it either.

if you know how to remove the OEM steering wheel it's cake after that.
you then put the hub in place onto the column bolt it down with the large lug nut,
then bolt the 6 bolt from the quick release onto the hub. once thats done you need to find your center then bolt the other part of the quick release to the steering wheel.

its pretty self explanitory once you take the steering wheel off. the tricky part, which I dont know how to do, is make the horn button work. there's write ups on it. just do a search. but its not easy. what i did was put an alternate button on the dash bezel here's a pic of a set up with out the steering wheel.

Check out this place, doesn't explain how to wire it to a quick release but gives you a better idea.

you could use the smaller hub, i've never even heard of such a thing. If you remove the quick release you'll gain back the space. That shortened hub seems to be the only solution though.

Things you lose with aftermarket steering wheel: "easy" access to turn signals and wiper switch, horn, airbags, and signal cancellation.

I don't know why you would say that you lose all of those things, because with my Momo race wheel and hub, I have perfect access to the wipers/signals. Also, you can retain all functions, less the airbags, if you take the time to do it right. Someone already reference my write-up in my thread but I outline how to make the horn work as well as set up new buttons for cruise control. I've been driving with the momo in my civic for over three years, and the turn signal cancel, horn, and cruise control all still work perfectly.

The big black thing is the wiring loom for the cruise, horn, and airbags. If you didn't take it off to put on your wheel, I'm confused. The turn signal cancel is the brass colored piece around the main shaft. The two little pegs that stick up line up with holes in the back of the factory wheel, and any aftermarket hub that was made for the car.
