Which Quick Release is the best?
Hi,
I currently purchased a Mugen Steering Wheel Racing II, Momo Hub, SRR Wheel Spacer(30mm), but now i need to get a Quick release. Not too sure which one is acutally good because I've never bought one before so maybe i could get some input from you all...
I need one thats very light but strong of course that also allows me to use my horn on my steering wheel. ANTI-THEFT as well!

RapFix quick-release adapter
OR
Snap-Off system
both are "anti-theft" and can use your car horn, but light it is not. the Snap-Fff system is less expensive compared to the RapFix too.

There's only 2 that i know of that are anti-theft: Tekniq and Grant. The grant one only works with grant wheels (so they say) but the Tekniq one has different hubs for different applications

When you say anti-theft, what are you wanting?
Do you mean like how the technique has a keylock? It's the only model I've seen like that. The problem is, it doesn't keep your horn.
There are tradeoffs. One thing to consider is overall thickness. Some of the quick releases are quite thick and you could end up with the wheel too close if you're not careful.

OmniPower? I've never seen one of those, and it's not listed on their website. Any more info on that?
The Esses one looks pretty nice too:

Tekniq allows you to keep your horn, well atleast the "street" version does.

Thanks for the link! There's nothing about it on OmniPowers' site.
So is that an adapter and quick release all in one?

Re: Which Quick Release is the best? (Top-Fuel)
i can tell you which one isn't the best and thats the inlinefour quick release. this hub has so much play in it. also unlike the nrg one which can only go in one way this one can go in any way which means you have to straighten the wheel before you take it off or else the next time you put it on it will be crooked and the horn won't work. i am getting rid of this hub asap for a nrg. inline four qucik release

We have the OMNI one as well, also a wheel/hub/qr combo.

Re: Which Quick Release is the best? (Top-Fuel)
The best quick release (for racing/driving) is one that doesn't have any play in it.
The best quick release (for security) is one that nobody else really has, and one where it doesn't leave a 'neck' exposed so that somebody with a pipewrench or big vicegrips can lock onto it and still drive away in your car.

OK so it' needs the adapter too..... it looks like it's pretty danm thick for a quick release (not sure why the other site lists them as chassis specific), how much closer does it place the steering wheel to you compared to stock?

Re: Which Quick Release is the best? (nonsense)
You need a : HUB, Quickrelease, and steering wheel (all 3 things). You can also added WHEEL SPACERS if its too far for you. ( bought myself a SRR 30mm/3cm one just incase.)

On the subject of Quick Release.
I know they make a non QR hub kit that tricks the SRS unit which works like the fake O2 cat sensor works. Do they make a QR hub that also tricks SRS units?

They make hubs for after market wheels designed with SRS cars in mind.
The hub works similar to fake O2 sensors for OBII cars. Its a small chip wired into the hub that tricks the SRS unit into thinking the steering wheel has a working airbag.
Thus you do not receive any SRS codes/errors. Its a nice feature because if you have a street/track car with a passenger seat that gets hit, the bag will still deploy for the passenger. Its also useful if you were to put the car back to stock form, as it would cut down on reseting the SRS unit.
I forgot who made this hub, but it was a great idea, and I was wondering if they made them for quick release hubs too.
