Just tell me why??.....please.

Think about what you are asking, and then answer this simple question.....why.

Why? Why do I want to know where I can safely bring my motor before having to shift? Why would I want to bring it up to where it makes peak power?

Hmm.. nope sorry, I can't justify why I would like to know this.

Is it safe to bring the car to redline a couple of times a day? Can any damage be done? BTW 90k miles on the car.

Thanks.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Answer that for me.

Look at your RPM gauge and see where the redline is.

And honestly, the B16a2 is the worst motor for torque. You will find the most power when vtec engages around 4800 RPM's. Not positive, but its around there...

Okay, I don't need you to critique my questions. It was a simple question.

I would look at my cluster.. but my car has a JDM EK9 cluster which is from a completely different car/motor.

And I have to give you an answer, to my question, about it being safe/unsafe to redline it a few times a day? No.

If you are not going to help, don't waste your time as well as mine making retarded replies.

Oh, and BTW b16a2 vtec crossover is at 5500 RPM's.

99-00 SI (B16a2) redline is 8K

Rev limiter is 8200.

Del Sol (B16a3) is 8200 Redline.

Sorry for being a dick....long night.

You might be a dick, but I agree with you 100%.

No, you shouldn't cause any damage to the motor by bringing it to the redline a few times a day - but it sure as hell will decrease the life of a motor over somebody who doesn't redline it a few times every day...

As this is probably true, this wasnt the question he was asking.

He just wanted to know what the stock redline and rev limiter went to.

They stop making power but getting closer to the limiter will bring you higher in the power band in next gear. Its a big difference in higher gears if you take it to ~8200rpm.

just my opinion.
