Default quick question please help!!

I have an oxygen sensor and it was so hard in the old cracked exhaust manifold that I had to take some measures to take it out. I had to spray penetrating lube on the threads. I think some may have gotten on the sensor part that touches the exhaust.

Is this a problem or will it be? Should i spray some solvent to get it off? Let it dry? I'm getting ready to put the sensor in the new headers but i'm not sure what to do ! please help asap!

thanks!

You should not have any problems but DO NOT spray anything on the sensor, Let it dry and maybe wipe it off with a clean rag or something.

Thanks for the reply! I'm having to resolder the wires since i had to cut them so it should be dry by time i get it ready to install!

My dad thought maybe use soap and water? Would that be good idea or bad?

No like I said you do not need to put anything on the actual sensor, it may damage it.
