Quick question on construction of OEM seats, namely Del Sol seats
I was wondering if the seat cushions are interchangeable between driver and passenger seat brackets? I have a pair of del sol seats, and the drivers side has considerably more wear than the passengerside.
Is it possible to take the brackets off, and use the back and bottom cushions on the passenger side, and the passenger side cushions on the driver side? They look identical and look like they have the same mounting points. any help is greatly appreciated..

well, you can use them, but honestly, no.. they are designed with a right left bias with the bolsters and such... so it will look funny, if you dont care about that, yeah.. it will work.
I have tore my drivers side apart so many times... and recushioned it with foam in the pan, it worked enough, I still have some trouble with my thy getting sore from the side of the bucket though, I think only thin high density foam will be able to help that problem, the kind that comes with a new seat... which sad to say, is a single unit, the pan with the cushion, and its expensive.

but the recliner lever and seat belt are all part of the seat bracket, which would still be in their respective positions.. the cushions themselves are what i would be swapping, and they look indentical. i guess i'll try swapping them and see if it works before i put them in

Re: (camelian)
let me know how it turns out, pics would be good, before and after... but Istill think it has a side bias with the bolsters... please look closely at that and compare to afterwards,

Re: (CooBlueDAB)
After taking them apart, I resolved that you can't swap them. The back cushion has different mounting points. (One side has one mounting point, the other side has 2 mounting points, all in different locations). The bottom bolster IS swapable (the mounting holes all line up) but the cushion has a slightly different shape. The insides on either seat come up a little more than the outside. Also, the lines are slightly different (I might post up some pictures later). I decided to keep them in their original locations. Hope this helps anyone interested.
