Quick question about shocks/springs..
I was just wondering if it would be alright to lower down a car, to the ground (with wheels on of course) with the entire strut/spring assembley removed. So basically no suspension at all .
thanks in advance.

no not a smart move, your going to bend your chassis, control arms and just about everything you can think of, that is even if you can get your car to move

Maybe he needs to put the car on the ground for some reason while he's working on it, and the shocks just happen to be off the car. Yes you can do it if you set it down very gently and definitely do NOT try to move the car while it's on the ground. The suspension geometry is determined by the control arms and spindles, not the shocks and springs, so you can put it on the ground w/o them.
However, it will be pretty difficult to get the car back up, I think, unless you do something to be able to get a jack under there when you get ready to raise it back up. Also, just to be safe, you might want to put something over the tops of the tires, just in case the frame tries to rest on the tires, you might need something to cushion it a bit.

actually, I'm wondering if the tires would contact the tops of the inner fender wells. You may end up damaging bodywork.
Just out of curiosity, what are your intentions here?

just put it on blocks or jackstands if you need the suspention.
If you plan on driving the car like this, you won't get very far.
