Default Quick question about new shocks..(Koni Yellows)

I got my Koni yellows from a local store today and decided while checking out to play with the adjustable dampening.Wehn i twsted it,the whole piston moved about maybe 45 degrees,I was wondering how big of a deal this is because i remember that my stock shock blew from turning the pistons countless amount of times trying to remove the nut from the top.I think ijm being paranoid but just some feed back would be nice.

Thanks

aaahhh I dont think you're going to break your konis from just a 45degree turn.

definetely do becareful not to twist the piston around in the future. But just a small turn like that shouldnt be any big deal.

during the install process you might have to twist em alittle to line up the shock fork bolt anyways.

but yeh, grab the piston with some plyers(and a rag imbetween so u dont scratch it) to hold it in place before you try to change the damping with them off the car.

i twisted mine over 3000 degrees becuase I didn't realize I was turning the entire piston. The shocks work fine, and they were used for approx. 40,000 miles before I bought them, and I am using them with 560 lb/in springs and they're holding up ~ fine ~. Seriously though, don't be so paranoid, the shocks are tough; they damp your 2600 lb car, and they are exposed to the elements. I think they can handle a 45 degree turn.

I do not think that you will have any problems whatsoever...
