all 92-95 honda ecu are interchangable. them working properly...no. for your civic. all 92-95 civic lx,cx,vx,dx are interchangable and will work somewhat well. because they are all non-vtec motors. its not originally made for that specific model but using it temp wouldn't hurt. as for the si 92-95 civic it will still plug up and work but you will be running a bit rich. waste gas. because of the 92-95 civic si is vtec you it is not safe to run it. good luck.

if i'm correct the lx and dx is the same ecu. they run the same motor. both are 1.6 or 1.5(forgot, its been a while) litters 16 valve non-vtec. only different from lx and dx is cosmetic stuff. lx has the painted side moldings....etc things like that.

slight problems with your statement. the LX and DX are identical ECUs (P06).
the CX uses a one wire O2 sensor and slightly changed fuel/ign maps (P05).
the VX uses a five wire O2 sensor (cali emissions sue a four wire) and has VTEC, but have a very different fuel/ign maping (P07).
the DX and LX ECUs (P06) are identical, swappable with no problems. But since you have a L50, you should be on the look out for another L5x ECU. the L means cali emissions, an A means 49-state emissions. The second digit means auto/manual trans (5=auto, 0=manual) The last number indicates which version it is, and it really does not matter that much. your 92 will run perfectly well maybe even better on a newer version of the ECU.
I'm curious what happened to your original ECU. Rare that they just die.

Re: (lv6l)
Hey Thanks for all the Help..
Well for the part where "how did the ecu die"
To tell u the truth I'm not sure myself it just happen yesterday night.
I warmed up the car was going home from work and as soon as i left the sight the check light came on ...the car stalled & coasted.....and smelled like something burnt (which was the ecu)
And if you can imagine the ecu was "FRIED" right Inside Right where the second ecu plug goes..
I'll see if I can get Pics.....
U guys have any idea of what could have cause this??

it all depends on what burnt. I've repaired a few ECUs when the problems are not morbidly serious. So if you post up some pics I may be able to help figure out what happened.
Especially since ECUs don't tend to just die, something took it out... which may take out another one.
