Quick Q on installing a headunit

Quick Q on installing a headunit
I've never installed a HU in my car, but isn't there a prong that plugs into the headunit for power? Or is it just the harness that needs to be connected?

just off topic, whats the hold in my headunit for.. for some reason (i think in my brothers old car which was a mazda something he had a long probe that he had to stick in there).

if your talking about the attena wire that is black and silver that goes into the back of the radio then it for the radio to get signal
