quick harness question

Default quick harness question

can i use a harness out of a 98 4 door ek dx on my 98 hatch with ls motor and s300? i noticed the 4 door harness has 4 plugs for the ecu but i think the coupe and hatch only has 3 plugs?

The harnesses should be the same if both cars were manual. I have a 97 coupe and it has 4 plugs for the ECU.

okay but the s300 only has 3 spots for the harness so one is juss gonna hang there thats y im wondering if it work

oh, nah i was just asking if it was auto because the 6th gen automatics had the 3 wire rotary IACV, similar to manual DX/CX of the same generation. this would cause you to have to do some relatively easy wiring gymnastics to work with an LS engine and its 2 wire iacv. it's just a matter of pin swapping, but that's why i asked.



anyway, specific to your question, i personally can't recall if manual harnesses have that "B" plug, but according to the guy above they do, but just keep in mind the manual ECU's will just have a blank spot for it, and conversion jumper harnesses (obd2 to obd1 ecu) typically only have 3 plugs hanging from them (unless you get a jumper specifically for auto to auto)

Im pretty sure even though my car has 4 plugs only 3 of them are being used.

okay so i got the harness all pluged in on the car and now theres no power to the fuse box under the dash or the pgm-fi relay??

juss removed the cluster and all the wires are cut
