The si's have holes in the trunk so I dont think its a "plug and play" as to you will have to drill

Well usually my model comes with a wing but its short and gay looking. Mine came with no wing at all. I notice where the markings are on the trunk where one has to drill to put the wing. But was wondering if its the same? Regualr wing and Si Wing?

Are you saying that you want to put a 99-00 wing on a 96-98? Yes it will fit. There was no 99-00 Si-only wing from Honda, they used the same wing as a dealer-installed option on all 99-00 civics. I know because mine came new from the dealer with one, and they ordered it from the factory in Vogue Silver Metallic, which was a non-Si color.

So, yes, it will fit, assuming you have a coupe - the 99-00 is just a little taller than the 96-98, but otherwise the same. I don't know about the sedan though, I've never seen one with the tall spoiler.

Also: if you want to keep your ability for your trunk to stay open, you're supposed to get the upgraded trunk springs that come in the dealer-optioned spoiler kit. I don't know how necessary they are, but I do know that they were part of the official honda package, and that mine doesn't stay open all that well, even with the beefed-up springs.

pics in my sig... is that the spoiler that you're talking about?
