Questions on Swaps.
Ok so here is the story, i got caught in a rain storm in maryland a few days ago and my cold air intake had a field day with the water. So im looking to get a new engine. and i searched but my question is . what swaps can i still use my tranny. currently i have a 95 ex tranny with a D15b (jspec) which is blown and p28 OBDI Chipped with Chrome. im looking to get a b but can that bolt up to my tranny and would i have to change any wiring or mounts. im sure this has been covered but. i have to know what i need by wednsday or thrusday.
Thanks for your time.
also im looking to get the swap local from a importer here in baltimore. called East Coast Import Inc http://www.japspec.com. if you have used them let me know, how they were and how was the engine.

Re: Questions on Swaps.
U can't use a b motor on a d tranny. well not without a conversion kit.
any D-series engine from 92-2000 will bolt right onto the tranny
any D-series engine from 92-2000 will bolt right onto the tranny

Re: Questions on Swaps.
For a B-series, you need the driver's side mount & bracket, the rear mount bracket, axles, and shiftlinkage from the B-series engine. Other than that mount and those 2 brackets, you can use your stock mounts. For the harness, you can either use your stock harness or you could use the one for the B-series (except for the '99-'00 Si one). Whether plugs match up or not depends on the engine you get (specifically the year) and what harness you use (which OBD it is). It's really not as complicated as it sounds, because either harness can easily be adapted to work, with a little bit of wiring changes.
