Questions for civic peeps
I just bought a 96 EX honda civic.
Will post pics soon.
My questions are:
1. My valvlue cover does not say V-Tech on it. and i do not see a V-tech celynder for the v-tech. Do i have v-tech or not. Because i though all of the EXs have SOHC V-tech.
2. What are the specs of that car like HP, and Torque.
3. I'm able to fit three of my fingers on the front between the tire and the fender, and the back my whole hand can fit between the tire and the body gap. My question is do they all come like or is my car defected. (the front of the car is lower)
Thanks for you help in advance

Thank you sooooo much. for clearly that up. For a moment i got scared that i did not have v-tech. Just creaious though why is it that some civic EXs have V-tech written on the valvue cover and some don't.

Re: Questions for civic peeps (sshaikh01)
that's because no hondas came with "V-tech". you won't find a single honda with the "V-tech" on the valve cover.
people get it straight already; its VTEC, not V-tech or vtech....
it's not that hard....
as for your car, 96 EX comes with VTEC . 127hp.

i dont recall which year it was in the mid 90's that honda was advertising its VTEC system heavily.. it was like 94 or 95 i forget.. those i believe had the VTEC lettering on the valve cover if i recall.. a fried of mine in college (i graduated in 99..so this is off memory)... had a 95 ex coupe and his valve cover had vtec on it..
V-tech makes cordless phones lolz..
the 96-00 is the 6th Gen for Civic..
it had 127 Hp @ 6600 RPM
torque was 107lb. ft @5500 RPM
1.6l 4 cyl 16 valve
as for the wheel gap.. sorry cant help you there..
