Questions About Replacing Side Moldings
Im about to order black side moldings for my em1 but i feel so uneasy about it. The thought of ripping bits of the body off and breaking clips is a horrible thought. I dont like it at all. But i love the look of those moldings so my questions are, has anyone done this? Is it hard? And are there any tips for popping the old ones out a putting the new ones in?

take your door panels off...they should be held in with clips that you squeeze from the back side. They'll pop right off. There may be a screw on the inside of the door jamb as well...not sure on an EM1. New ones come with clips, so don't worry about breaking the clips if you get impatient. I replaced the ones on my EG and they look a billion times better than the old ones.

Re: Questions About Replacing Side Moldings
yep, definitely need to take the door panels off. The only thing is, and i'm not sure what colour your car is, but if you want them colour coded (they come black from Honda) make sure you do that first. I'm getting my 98 EK mouldings (front/rear bumpers and sides) colour coded white - just make sure the panel beater gives them 2 coats of paint and then a clear on top after that - the paint could start to crack if you don't apply 2 coats.
Good Luck,
