I have a few questions. I have a 2000 Civic SI. I upgraded to an AEM HF Fuel Rail and I currently took this piece (what is it? is it needed?) and hid it under the intake manifold and just looped the hose on it.... however I am working on making my custom engine harness and was curious if I even needed to have the plug or even this piece, sensor thing in my new harness??

Its below in the pink circle, talking about the thing that comes mounted to the top of the fuel rail with the red hose coming off one end... its currently looped hose hid under the intake mani..... can I just delete it and remove it and take the wires off the new engine harness??? Advice please:



Also, is there anything we can do to make the Vtec Solenoid a little more "hidden"? or anything I could do to clean up that corner of the engine?? ideas...



So to recap:

1. What is that piece on the fuel rail, can I delete it and the wires in the harness?
2. Anything I can do to make the vtec solenoid a little more "hidden"
3. The injectors ground wires that go to the open loop electrical terminal... where are you guys bolting that too on your block?

The thing on your fuel rail is the purge control solenoid.

^^^ Thank you! So since I deleted the Charcoal Canister Emissions box can I just remove this purge control solenoid and remove the wires from the new harness? Will it throw any issues with the ECU? I'm assuming it will cause a CEL...

Same for the EVAP control vent shut valve,I have it tucked under the dash and plugged in... I should be able to just unplug it and delete it as well and not have any issues since I am no longer running the EVAP system.
