the reason it doesnt fit is because the cables are pushing up on the front of it. All you have to do is trim it and it should fit snuggly on there.
BTW........ you DONT have an eg6.

lol, i just found out recently its a hybrid motor w/ a f series bottom end and a h series head.. some people use the h23 head to make the single cam accord motor a dual cam motor(the f has iron sleeves) and some will swap on the h22 head
