Question for the EG exhaust guru's
i currently have a b18c1 modded in my eg. Soon to be getting into the internals of it. I currently have the jdm 4-1 header, no cat, 1 resonator, and 2.5 inch piping all the way back to the end with a N1 turbo muffler (3" inlet)............right now it sounds nice and retardedly loud.
Am i losing power with this setup?
I was planning on switching the muffler to either a Type R or s2000 rear muffler. will i lose hp from this or do you think it will help out? alot of heads have said i am losing power due to too much flow.
Gimme your opinions and help on this....Thanks guys

i would say that your low/mid range power is suffering now. i went from a 2.25" custom bent, no resonator, tiny muffler setup to a bolt on 2.2", resonated, oval muffler setup. i gained TONS of low end power, made my drivability much better.
i guess it really depends on how you drive. if you need that top end power, your setup should be fine. but if you want driveability (and want to save your hearing) go with a more restrictive setup

whats better....s2000 muffler or type R? i've never actually seen either off the car and wonder what will fit better on my little eg hatch...both flow like aftermarket mufflers right?
