i have a 1993 cx hatchback and the carpet that covers the ecu is falling off and wont stay up... is there some sort of kicker panel or something that is suppose to be there that is stock that will hold it up?

also, i heard that si models have rear speakers, is there a way to mount these, like do si models have mounts behind the plastics? mine has nothing, no holes or nething..

the kick panel is what holds the carpet in place around that area. stick the tabs of the carpet back to the kick panel and you should be fine (unless one of them is broken).

as for the si speakers. yes they came optional. unfortunately parts of the mounting kit are discontinued. you might be able to find someone on here who's selling one, or try ebay. other than that you can buy the jdm one which are hard to find and expensive, or custom make something.

so i am missing a kicker panel for the carpet piece correct? like its not there in the picture right?

I just bought all new parts to mount rear speakers from honda but that was in canada, one piece had to be ordered from US stock though. wasn't cheap

looking at your pics better. seems like they are broken off your carpet. they would be a white plastic piece stuck to the carpet. so yeah, my original post won't work. maybe find a way to use some velcro on the back to make it stick. or pull the carpet out.

the bracket is ok, but the plastic sound piece and the cover(outer) panel is what's discontinued. atleast that's what my local dealer had told me.

also, do wires run there for rear speakers even if the car doesnt come with them?(kinda like how the ac option is still on the dash, just missing the button if you dont have ac) my model is a 1993 cx btw.. if that helps

also, the mounts for the speakers, do they screw in somwhere on the body, how do they mount in?

they mount to a l like bracket and yes there is speaker wire back there. just reach back and feel around. they are there.
