Question about the VAFC
I know that there are a few things you can do with a vafc.
This is what I was wondering, I have a chance to pick one up for real cheap. My car is stock as of now. I have a 99 ex coupe, with an apex n1(not that it really matters). I was wondering if I buy it now and install it, is there anything I can actually do with it?
If not I know that I can always use it later when there are reasons for me to. The price is real good and if I dont use it I can always sell it to someone else. Its brand new.
My friend has one in his eclipse and the things is neat. He actaully has it for a reason though. Dont think im buying one just for looks or something. Im thinking either way im going to pick it up. I was just wondering if I hook it up to my car, which is stock, if it would do anything at all.
Thanks in advance

Re: Question about the VAFC (Quick EX)
It won't really do anything until you have at least i/h/e ... and even then you won't get a whole bunch of extra hp/tq, but you will be able to smooth out the power band and move the vtec point. Keep in mind that you'll need to tune on a dyno to take full advantage of the unit, just pushing buttons won't get you anywhere and you may do more harm than good.

Re: Question about the VAFC (Spoon Hybrid)
oh ok, I will probably pick it up anyways and hang on to it just in case. Or im sure that I can sell it and get my money back.
Off topic, but what does the rev/speed meter do? Can you put those on a stock car. Im not planning on it, and I dont plan on filling the car up with gauges. I just thought about that after he said he would sell me the vafc.
Thanks for the help
