question about side moldings
ok well i just bought a 92 cx eg from a ricer and he filled in the side moldings with fiberglass bondo...is there anyway i can reverse it and turn it back to its stock moldings?

I'm not some super body man but my only advice would be to get out the disc and d/a sander and go to work, just be careful with the 36 grit . I've seen those moldings shaved by real amateurs and it looks horrible, and I've seen it done pretty well also and it still doesn't look right IMO. Anyway I don't think anything chemical wise will cut bondo, you just have to grind / sand it out, maybe use an awl or something to get an outline of where the filler is, and get to it. Wish ya luck..

a friend of mine had a body shop fill his moldings with bondo and it was rediculous. we just had to be honest with you, da it to a point and then knocked off the chunks and it came off pretty well actually. a little elbow grease but it came off. good luck.

so do you think chizzling it out a bit will do it? cause the dude said he didnt do anything major..just filled it up with bondo
