I just received Omni Power Coilover sleeves and spings. The kit came with a few selectable o-rings. Just wanted to know how these o-rings are placed. I contacted kteller (where I bought them from) but he hasn't responded yet. Does anyone know how many o-rings and the location on where they need to be placed?

I already Searched, but came up with nothing regarding this issue.

Last question, should the higher number on the spring be the one for the front? I have 2 springs marked 0178.63.5.006 and the other 2 marked 0178.63.5.008. The ones ending in 008 look a bit bigger on diameter than the ones marked 006, plus, they are a bit heavier. I'm guessing these are for the front since the front is heavier?

I think you just put them around the body of the strut and slip the coilover sleeve over them. It's there to secure the sleeve from moving around.

they go between the black (if stock) lower part of the shock, and the aluminum threaded part of the coilover. The reason there are more sizes is so they can fit differnet shocks (if different diameters).
also it centers the coilover on the shock, and makes it impossible for it to rattle.

to install them , put one near the middle of where the coilover is going to sit, then when you put the coilover threaded part onto the shock it will roll don (if you use thr o-ring that is thick enough) and space the sleeve out from the shock. put the second one of the same diameter onto the top of the larger section of the shock after the sleeve is on, then poke it down with a flathead or something.

most people are dumb/ignorant and afraid of asking questions, but this is a good one!

So one of the o-rings will be toward the bottom of the inner sleeve and the other toward the top of the inner sleeve?

I also received 2 metal "caps". They fit over the sleeve and sit on top of it. I'm guessing this is to keep debris out of the inside of the sleeve?

I used mine on the bottom rears since they sit lower in the cup. Make sure you cut the bumpstops down to just one set of the 3 bumps it is. If you look at the directions you will see it says to do that. Also I had enough o-rings to put 3 on each sleeve. make sure they fit tight when you slip them down so there is no play. You might want to try this if you are going to want to lower your car more in the rear since the spring cup limits it.

If you look at the right strut in the pic you can see one of the o-rings on it. and the ring your talking about. On the spring rates thats what I did is put the heavier ones on the front.

Now I see it, thanks man. Did you only receive 2 with your kit or 4? So you only placed those caps on the rear? Why didn't you place them in the front. I was leaning toward placing them on the front since it's heavier and needs a little more support at the base?

Hey my cousin ordered his omnis and they all came with the same spring rates...Anybody else have this problem? And do you think it will effect his ride at all?

Well, it depends. If he received all 4 with the rear spring rates, his front will be very soft and have lots of understeer under harder cornering. If all 4 are with the front spring rates, then the car will have more oversteer. IMO, get with whoever you bought them from and get the right ones.
