Default Question about clutch for 00 Si..

I was messin around the other day in my car.. being an idoit i had the car in reverse and took my foot off the clutch just a second before i turned the car off, so it stalled, i thought, wow that was stupid, but no big deal. But ever since then, my clutch has been really tough, and i have to let a lot farther off the clutch for the gear to engage, so much in fact that i foind myself revving the motor where the gear used to engage, and now i have to let off further to get it to go into gear. I was told that either my clutch is going out , or i just need new fluid. so i hope someone can shed some light on my situation, any help is welcomed.. thank you.

how many miles are on your clutch? sounds like its slipping, if it is then you would need a new clutch

possibly it was on its way out before u stalled it, 40k im guessing u mean? on my Si mine only lasted 55k, and my other Si only 75k, bought them both used though, depending on how u drive ur car that could be the end of it, also just check the clutch fluid level make sure its where its suppose to be

well depends, exedy organic clutch is a nice replacement clutch and i have it on my car, but some people on the board have complained, and others havent, im guessing the people who had problems must have had an installation error, but it grips better then stock, is not too stiff, and is fairly priced at 300 even on few websites. if not that clutch id go with ACT or ClutchMasters . And since your going to have the tranny out of the car u mite want to think about getting a new lighter flywheel too, help your acceleration a lil bit, or u could just resurface the flywheel, thats what i did
