QUESTION: about 95 EX, starts w/out pushing clutch?
yo, i have a question. were all 95 civic ex's able to start without pressing the clutch in? if not, then why does mine? its weird because, i put my autolock on my clutch pedal, for one, in hopes that theives wont be able to start my car, second, they can't put it in gear if it is started. i need to know, thanks

hmm my guess is that it could be a AT to MAN. swap, when you swap in the '95's you have to re-wire some plugs... when doing that it allows the car to be started without the clutch pushed in... its a magic trick...

that's what i was thinking tooo... or the car could have previously had a remote start on it, in which case the clutch safety switch may have been bypassed

dud stick ur head under ur dash in the driverside floor board. look up the clutch pedal shaft. u will see a plug on the shaft and a plug dangling or might be tucked somewhere. plug the 2 together. and im pretty sure they are covered in some sort of insulation so u wont see a color. but if u dont see the plug someone might have cut it. in that case find a dangling wire that has been cut then simply strip and solder them back together

It's called a clutch interlock switch, neutral safety switches are only for automatics.
The wire colors should be blu/blk and blk.
