Default quality ghetto solution

well i was wondering since those rubber seals rip alot on axels if u could do this...if u bought new axels and wrapped duct tape around the seals so they had added protection if it would help or if it would hurt the seals. just a thought. by the way is an a/c mount really needed when swapping an LS into a 1992 cx civic hatch

That isn't a quality ghetto solution. Some people do it I think, but I'm not sure on the results. I've never had a problem with ripped boots.
.
As for the AC mount with the swap: You don't NEED it, but it is highly recommended. You'll end up tearing your driver's side mount a lot easier, and the engine will rock more. If you are upgrading your mounts then by all means.
