Q: rubber brake lines for 4 disk conv.
Hi, I just got a kit a rear disk kit from a teg to put on my 99 4 door EX.
It came with rubber lines cut. I was wandering, can I just use some rubber lines from auto parts store for couple of bucks each? or I must buy new ones for an SI from a dealer or junkyard (which I'm sure they won'T sell separately)
So if the answer is YES, what kind of rubber lines should I look for? what kind of fittings, length... etc.
Thanks a lot!

what!!!!!! u kidding me right? u know how much pressure is needed to push that piston to stop your car? if you dont let me tell u: a freakin lot. way to much pressure for a rubber hose. get a line that is designed for brakes. the brakes lines are reinforced. the rubber lines arent. spend the extra bucks to get BRAKE LINES.

DO NOT TRY TO GO THE CHEAP ROUTE WITH YOUR BRAKES. Go the safe route and buy a set of lines for your car. I replaced one of my lines a few weeks back and I believe that it was like $28. I understand the whole do more with less mantra, but play it safe with your brakes and get some DOT approved lines.
