Default Finished with the lip *new look

im getting it painted professtional somewhere. trying to find the cheapest place that will do a good job. maaco wanted to charge me 85bucks just to paint it. not even to sand it or nothing. i was like F that so i think i found a place to get it done for 70bucks. sanded and painted glosy black.

But anyways other then that i wanted to know how you put these on. and make sure i have all the right bolts. it seems like im missing another long bolt but im not sure... it was brand new when i got it and the bolts were in the plastic cover just as the lip was plus it was in a zip locked bag so i guess i have all the bolts but why do i have 2 nuts and 2 spacers ?

.........and i wanted to no after its painted how do i go about putting it on...

do it yourself

go to napa store that does custom paint mix for your car color in a srapy can.

Or order one online

you want some good advice here you go... put 2 in each side of the bumper (self tapping) then go do yourself a favor and buy about 5 more of those screws and put them along the bottom..

I would trust me on this one because i used 5 bolts re putting mine on and the last i saw of it was on the highway in my mirror... that **** will fall off and im not lieng so dont think that what they gave you is enough go buy more!

80 is about rite i dont know what stage your paint is but mine is a 3 (milano red) and the paint is expensive and you cant just buy a little you have to buy it how they sell it so that about rite. Also they really dont sand it they smooge it and then slap some paint on it

there should be holes on the lip and on the very bottom of the bumber that should line up. all you have to do is get the little clip things that go thru the holes. forget what they are called. or im sure you can just bolt it on witha few bolts. they are easy to put on. look under your bumber to find the holes. if there are no holes on the lip youll have to line the lip up on the bumber and drill holes (do that before you get it painted).
also if you use bolts get some thread locker and use the nuts that have the nylon in them then its sure not yo vibrate loose..

ok so buy about 4 or 5 more screws and do i have to drill holes for the end of the lip? the part that wraps around the front bumper?

im confused tho. the lip doesnt even touch the bottom of my front bumper. and it also doesnt reach the holes that are on the bottom of the frotn bumper so i dunno what u guys mean by drilling holes and using screws... i understand the side screws will work no problem but the screws underneath wont... anyone got pictures???

nonono, dont do it glossy black, dont do it flat black either, do it in a semi-gloss black!! or color matched to your car

as u can see it doesnt reach the holes u guys are talking about and plus i dont have any clips... do i have to go buy some or what. because i already know that 2 screws go on each end of the lip and thats simple but i wanna put 5 screws at the bottom like u guys said so it dont fly off but i dont see how thats gonna go...

Drill the top, screw it in, fill it if you want and paint it.

i see people with lips all the time like this one on the same car and i dont understand why its gonna be so hard to put mine on. i dunno if i should drill the holes yet on the bottom or not since i dunno if thats gonna work or not and i really dont wanna have noticeable screws in my lip where u can clearly see them. no one else has noticeable screws.

Ok, two of the self-tapping screws on the left of the picture go on each side where it wraps around the front bumper. The other two go on top of the lip down into the bumper. The bolt on the right goes from the bottom of the lip to the bottom of your bumper, that's why it's longer than the others. You need two of those. I have my front lip held on with just those 4 self-tapping screws for over a year with no problem, but mine fits on very tight. I would go find another bolt like the gold one pictured and do like I said. You will have to drill holes in the bottom of the lip and bumper. Good luck. It's pretty easy.

you can also use pop rivets in the holes you drill. the lip my buddy got for his civic may be different since he bought it straight from the honda sealership he said all he had to do was match up the holes and put clips in them

-Get the bumper painted and pick up a bottle of gorilla glue.

-Pull off your stock bumper and clean up all the areas where the lip is going to contact it.

-Run a bead of Gorilla glue on your bumper and stick your lip on.

-Clamp that **** down and let it dry.

-Put your bumper back on.

this isn't rocket science, unless you have forgotten how to work your aposable thumb, this should not be that difficult, everyone already told you what to do
