Default Projector lights - Who has em

I've allways driven hondas with 9005/9006 headlights and recently got an EK which uses a single H4 (9003) bulb and the light output sucks ***.

I was considering getting projector housings so taht I could get the 9005/9006 bulbs back and run 4 bulbs at the same time when on high beam.

If you have projector housings, can you tell me if they indeeed use 9005/9006 bulbs and if the light output increase is worth the money.

I dont give a **** about the look, infact I find projectors rather repulsive however, its a cheap way to run 4 bulbs at once.

My friend bought some projectors for his 2000 ek sedan and they suck really bad. the light output was worse with the projectors, he has to use his high beams all the time because its so bad. I have a 99 ek coupe and i got the stock light housing and got an 8000k hid kit and i was really impressed with how good and bright they were. If i were you i would go with HID. If you just want them really bright get between 4300k and 6000k but if you want blue get around 8000k. You can check out the different my HID's made on my cardomain page.

Just upgrade to better bulbs.

And this link will explain lighting to you in the event you want to go with a HID kit. It will help you figure out why you don't want colored bulbs.

They dont use 9005 and 9006 bulbs
THey use H1 and H3

Their made in such a way they only operate 2 bulbs at once, not 4.

If light is really an issue, sounds like you need to get new headlight housings (OEM) and bulbs, and some OEM foglights might aid too. I used to have projectors back in the day, they sucked, now i have blackhousing w/ OEM fogs and i have no complaints at all about lighting.

Sonar brand projector headlights do not suck as much as people say they do. I rocked them for almost 2 years and the light output of the H1's was x10000's better than stock headlights...BUT...the key was that you have to have them aimed right. If you dont, you will of course get horrible light output since the light isn't going where its supposed to go. I even put HID's in them and they worked great. I have some pics as well if you want them.
