Default project 96 dx hb w/ at convert to mt, what parts are needed( i searched)

i know for sure, i need:

1. clutch pedal assembly
2. ecu?
3. hydraulic lines and pump
4. tranny (of course)
5. linkage ( will 92-95 civic linkage work?)

let me know if im missing something, im planning on going out to san antonio, texas this weekend because the junkyards here in laredo are pretty much scarce on honda parts and i wouldnt mind taking a look at my totaled 03 si hb at the junk yard, i heard someone chopped half of it. got to see that for my own eyes
thanks again guys!

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Katman &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">ok here's what you need to convert your car and/or engine to a 5-speed spec:

- Tranny options.
Any 92+ SOHC tranny will bolt up to your Y8. Si, DX, VX, HF etc....all will bolt up to your Y8.

- clutch.
you'll need to get a complete clutch system from a 92-00 SOHC 5-speed civic:
pressure plate, disc, and throw-out bearing, which you will apply to your Y8. It doesn't matter which model you get these parts from either, they're all compatible.

- shift linkage.
any 92-00 SOHC civic hatchback, coupe, or sedan shift linkge will work, again doesn't matter which model, they're all compatible.

- ecu.
You can keep your orginal ecu, but you'll throw a check engine light for code 19 which is LOCK SOLENOID, found only on an AUTO transmission. It won't hurt performance....but if you wanna do it the right way, find a 5speed SOHC VTEC ecu made for your car.

- PEDALS.
You didn't state if your car or just the engine you have is auto, but if your car is an AUTO, you'll obviously need clutch pedal right? lol....so find yourself a whole pedal assembly from a 5-speed civic from as the same year class as your car. You might need the hydro clutch resivour too. I've never converted an Auto to 5speed, so I'm not 100% what else you'll need pedal wise.

...that's about it, I think.</TD></TR></TABLE>

The search button is fun!
