Default Problems with my hybrid ek

Hi, I have a 96 DX hatch with a 96 JDM b16a motor. Its obd2 also. My question is, what would cause my tach to stop working? I have a 2000 Si cluster. Today, I was driving and all of a sudden when I was idling it just stopped working. Everything else on the cluster worked fine though. It started working again, then stopped, then started. Hmm..... Can't think of anything that could be the problem. Its working now, but who knows for how long. I have a 50amp fuse in my ignition, under the hood in the fuse box. It calls for a 40amp but I had to use a 50amp for now till honda gets some more 40's. Reason I blew the fuse was that the wire for the city lights on my JDM headlights melted onto my header Any ideas guys why my tach could be acting up like this. I never had any problems with it till today and I put the 50amp fuse in the box yesterday. Please help me out. And if a moderator sees this, can you please let me know when my trial user status will be over, I'd like to post more. Thanks

Unless you "converted" it to OBD-II, the JDM motors do not have OBD-II natively.

Did you get that cluster from a junkyard? Because if you did, bad circuit board contacts (i.e. rusty) are a common cause of tachometer failure in cluster swaps.
I had to replace my circuit board for JUST the exact same problem.

I agree Shawn, and or a Bad VSS(Vehicle Speed Sensor) either connection or sensor its self.
