Problems with b16 swap
Hey eeryone.. I am having some trouble with my motor
I have a civic 00 hx coupe and I'm swapped a b16a2 in, and I am using my stock harness from the d series d15y8
I have sone questions:
1) I have two huge plugs(baby and one grey) on the harness that I can't seem to plug in.. I don't where it's connecting to. The grey plug has a lot oh
grounding wires and ignition wire. Don't know about the baby blue. Where do they plug into?
2) I can't seem to get my car starting. No fuel is flowing though and no spark either.. I bought a chipped ecu(p28) from phearable.net but people were telling me that the ecu is the reason for no sparks and fuel. What should I do?
Please help me out. Ima noob and been trying to get it running for a month... I start school soon so i really need this car finished by then...
Please help me out

Re: Problems with b16 swap
yeah hes right, the HX harness needs some modification i think. grab a harness from a 99-00 civic EX or an Si and ur swap will be super easy.

Re: Problems with b16 swap
on my harness (98 Civic EX), those clips are UNUSED. this may not be your problem bro.
check your distributor wiring and all of your chassis ground wires. also make sure your fuel pump is priming and your main relay clicks.
GOOD LUCK

all those plugs do are connect ground/ power wires together to make one connection
those plugs are like that and they have nothing to with non starting unless the main power is not even reaching them
i know the yellow and black are positive/swithced i beleive. they go to alot of stuff but all the wires off it shoud have power

OOOHH so u have no fuel and spark?
and to answer ur question yes it can if the connections are bad. what kind of ECU are u using?
and is there fuel in the tank? (i gotta ask cuz i tried diagnosing my friends car and he had no gas lol)
well u can also check the fuse that goes to the fuel pump which is located inside the car under the driver side.
