Problems at 5000 rpms. Need some troubleshooting help.
Ok, here is what is going on. My 1999 civic ex is sitting in my garage with no front bumper so I can't take it out on the road right now. It has been sitting for about two weeks.
I thought I would start is and let it run a little today. After it can to temp, I rev-ed up the engine. When it hit 5000 rpm the engine started to sputter.
The car ran just fine before, and I don't think I have ever rev-ed the engine like that when it is in park.
If I take it out on the road and it does not do it does anyone know why it would only do it in park?
Also let’s say it does do it on the road, what might be some causes??
It does have a few bolts on mods nothing major. I was thinking something to do with the vacuum or throttle position sensor. Any input would be a great help
Thank you.
