Default problem with swap

i did a search on this but i couldnt come up with anything. OK my friend is swaping a b18a1 from a 91 integra into his 95 civic hatch. Everything was done the right way and everything was ordered from hasport but he has run into a problem with the harness. Now i heard hasport sells kits that hook up to the stock harness and are made to plug right in to the new motor but i have had no luck finding these. He even took it to a shop and they could not diagnose the problem. Has anyone done this same swap???????? If so PLEASE help out my friend, he has been dickin around with this for like a couple months and is gettin tired of it so i figured i ask on here. THANKS FOR THE HELP

Is the motor wiring harness not clipping up? If so get OBD 1 Dizzy, ecu, and header w/ O2 Sensor. Convert motor from OBD 0 to OBD 1 just like your car already is.

If he is not running LS vtec and his car was non tech his factory motor harness should fit the B18 motor ( mine did, but I used a the B18B swap rather than B18A much different). If he is running LSvtec and the car was'nt vtec he will have to do some wiring.. But anyway the ecu is on the passenger side kick panel easy to get to, all can be found brand new, used, here, performance, shops, or junkyards.

What exactly is not plugging up? From what i am understanding you are running a obd0 motor into a obd1 car. First off, did you convert the motor to obd1 or the cars harness to obd0? also what plugs are not plugging in or do not have a place toplug into. What ecu are you running?

well its my friends car but from what i uderstand, he is runnin and OBD0 motor to a OBD1.I kno that wont work so what needs to be done to fix it The ECU is a chipped ECU made for the B18a1 and it plugged rigth into the civic harness. also there r some fluid lines running out of the tranny, do those get plugged or get ran somewhere? im not sure what doesnt hook up but enough of it does to make the car turn over. Sorry the sounds like a big mess, but its been awile since ive looked under the hood.

Well if the ecu plugged right in then it is still obd1. inside the car and the ecu is also a obd1. As far as the engine harness side was anything changed? Is the tranny auto or 5 speed? if its auto the it most likely the tranny cooler lines. if its 5 speed then what tranny is it? Post some pics up of the problem will help out alot. if you can.

no nothing in the harness was changed it is a 5speed, and im not sure of the tranny type but i kno it is the stock one that comes with the B18a1, i can try and get some pics but the car is in a different town right now so it might take awile but ill try. Could those still be cooling lines. I have a 91 integra and we have been kinda lookin off that and those lines seem to run from the tranny like underneath the car or into the fire wall? its back there

the tranny is still cable. you have to convert to hydro. also you have to change a couple things to obd1, as mentioned above. What harness are you running? the one from the Eg, or from the motor.

He already did they tranny conversion from hasport. Well he is runnin the stock harness from the civic, all the wiring in the dash and stuff is fromt the civic, the only thing from the integra harness is what is connected to the engine, . some of the connectors fit and some dont. wow this is makin me sound like an idiot

No im just trying to get a better understanding. do a search for obd1 to obd0 conversion, and go from there. there are like 600 results. But as usaul only like 10 will be helpful. I take a look at some for you.
