i've dealt with a number of insuraunce company's on my 2003 focus they w here charging me the same rates.... and i have a clean record ... so i switched to nationwide ... they gave me uber low rates ...then just jacked everything up for no reason... and everytime i'd ask them why i had a 200 dollar price jump in premium ... and i was paying 200 less a month for the last 6months .... she would just say 'so' so i switched to progressive. I'd recommend progressive .... even if it costed the same (or more) ... definetely the best coverage.

I'm old (32), so I don't count, but I pay $3200 for full coverage on a 99 Si and a 99 CR-V and liability on a 92 CX.

Maybe a young kid with a high-theft/high risk car is highly frowned upon by an insurance company???

Still, those rates seem pretty insane for an allegedly clean record Bummer.

*edit* I'm on Amica, and they give pretty good "safe driver" discounts.

god damn, you guys are paying a lot...

i'm with progressive, i'm 23.... i pay $1400/yr. for full coverage on my '00 si and partial full coverage on my '93 eg. i believe i still have one speeding ticket on my record. i was 20 when i got it, and i think it was around $1650/yr. for just the si then.

1-800-SAFE-AUTO pick up the phone the call is free. o/` .. play it safe-- Safe Auto!

No, but really. My brother, whom is 21, has/had (just got totaled) a 99Si. I believe he paid around 300$/mo for full coverage(with Safe Auto), but his record is not so great. He has atleast 8-10 points on his record.

I pay $160/mo. on my 97EX full coverage, but I'm on a seperate policy under my parent's names.. (if something happens with me, they don't get affected). I also have a clean driving record.

25, and its $950 full coverage a year for my 00 ebp Si

i paid $800 last year when i had my RSX S and it was new, so i think it has something to do with the very high theft rate. If you read these boards Si's are stolen on a daily basis and almost every one of them is found stripped and declared a total loss.

I'm 18, i pay $3,450 for 2 civ's neither is Si

My cousin drives a Si she's 20 and uses my insurance company and it's $2,300 a yr.

only problem is it's local small buisness insurance company and i'm def. not from your area so i doubt it would help

but 5g's a year seems a little pricey

Holy ****. I have 2 tickets still *showing* on my record, 1 thats been wiped clean, I'm 22 with a 98 EX and pay $1300 a year for my car. Most it ever made it to was $1500 when all 3 tickets were showing on my record. Thats just nuts.

Best place to go is http://www.esurance.com/ Best rates and I havent had one problem with them at all. I searched everywhere for cheap insurance and now I only pay 1000 or so for full coverage with extra coverage for my wheels and ****. Fill out the form and you will get a exact quote, and I bet you its cheaper than you will find elsewhere.
