Default Power window+locks conversion for an EK

I have a 97 civic hatchback. I just bought complete power doors and locks off of a 99-00 Si. Ive searched everywhere and cant seem to find a DIY specifically for an EK. Does anyone have a link to one or do I just try to follow the DIYs for the Egs? Also seeing as how my car is a 97 and the parts are from a 99-00, will I run into any complications while installing? I think I need a 96-98 Ex floor harness right? Im trying to make it as plug and play as possible with out much re wiring. Thanks for all the help guys.

This helped me loads!! you shouldn't run into any complications... but i didnt do the 99-00 thing... the most complicated thing would be that the plugs dont fit, but then you could just splice wires if you had to... goodluck man...

Do I need that blue box also? Like was it supposed to come with it?

Im also looking into doing this p/w p/door lock conversion to my ek. Ive asked one of my friends for advice and he said to get the floor harness. This will eliminate any splicing of wires, and less wiring... Let me know how well you do on this install and how easy it is for you. Thanks!

it's not a hard swap if you have eveything...

-floor harness
-door pannels & switches
-actuators & motors
-door harnesses
-if 96-98 you need the ex or lx radio harness and oem radio (it has the remote sensor in it)
-if 99-00 i dunno
-remotes (of course)

i think that's everything ... goodluck

Mines is from an 99-00 Si. I have everything except for that blue box in the picture and a floor harness. How much do floor harnesses usually run for? Seeing as how mines is a 97 there will be some rewiring. I got quoted at a shop around here for $150-$200 for labor. And whats up with the radio harness? I need one of those aswell? I have an Alpine unit would I still need it? I will def. update this or maybe even do a DIY since there isnt one on HT.

yeah you will need the brain as well, sorry...

i dont know where the 99-00 remote sensor is, but on the 96-98's the keyless remote sensor is located in the oem radio. I have a Pioneer Premier deck in my car but my oem radio is tucked behind it with just power to a certain pin for the remotes to work. If you arent worried about the keyless feature i dont think you will need it, but dont quote me on that. The radio harness just runs the wires from the back of the oem radio back to the brain.

My car came with a viper alarm. So your saying for the alarm to work, I will need the radio harness from a 99-00 Si for my alarm to work with the power doors? Just a little confused. Thanks for all your help so far.

Man this looks somewhat intimidating... I havent started yet because the guy still owes me the lock actuator. About how long does this take? Is it seriously 7-8 hours?

Does it matter whether or not the floor harness is from an automatic or 5speed?
