Power steering problem
I have a 2000 civic ex 5spd that my wife drives. Its had an intermittent power steering for the last month or so. I picked up a new pump, changed it and its worse now. Its fine while you drive but no assist at a stand still. Previously it would not work, then while turning it, it would regain power steering in the middle of the turn sometimes. Just off and on.
I did a fluid flush since it was pretty dark and still no better. Im pretty sure Ive gotten all the air out of it too. Its easier to turn left than it is to turn right. While turning the wheels at a stand still sometimes there is a knock, sounds like its coming from the left side.
Is the rack just screwed?
