power steering in my civic si
I have a 95si hb and when they put the h22 in they unhooked the a/c and power steering. They left the power steering hoses just laying there. I was told I need to pump power steering fluid through the hose until it comes out the other end and then clamp them together.....to save my rack so the bearings dont go out in it. Is this true and an idea that will work fine? Any other ideas or better ways to do it?

Either hook it up or remove the rack and replace it with a manual one. Don't half *** it.

I removed my power steering and used some aeroquip fittings and a "power cooler" u shaped hose from acura to loop the rack. When you take all the lines off just jack your car up and turn the wheel left all the way until you can't turn it anymore and then turn it right all the way until it can't turn anymore. Do this over and over again and fluid will start shooting out. Watch out it gets messy. Gettingout some of that fluid will help so you can turn the wheel easier and not be pushing all that fluid around. Just leave a little fluid in there to lube the rack.

why not just get a cx/dx/vx rack and not worry about fluid at all.
