Default Power mirror help

Well my brother bought a used 1996 ex, everything works fine windows sunroof, but his mirrors don't. Was wonder what i should look for or test to see why it doesnt work

check the fuses. use a honda etm and it will help you find the fuses,etc... i would check that first, check for power to the mirrors and grounds next.

fuses are still good and i switched the control still doesnt work how would u check the power? i used a volt tester on the end of the harness while i tried to move the mirror none of them get power, but im not sure if im testing it correctly

do you have just power mirrors or with a defrogger in the mirrors?

heres a diagram from honda helm manual. power flows from top to bottom. hope that helps. goodluck.

if both of them dont work Id say its likely a bad switch since you say the fuse is good. See if you can borrow someones switch or try yours on someone elses to see if its good.

my lady helped me load that diagram up. try saving it and opening it with a photo program to enlarge it...

it must be the switch if it aint doing anything. you have + at the switch? make sure u have a ground, if you don't have power coming out when u operate the switch. replace it

from here it looks like 4 is ground and everything else is power. that is simple

I have the same problem in my 99 coupe, I took it in to my auto electric class and found that there was a short to my power wire for the power mirrors. U can bypass the wire to see if the mirrors work, if they dont then the mirrors are usually broken. The weak as shop that painted my car damaged my mirrors when they took it apart to get it painted. power mirrors for the coupes break fairly easily.

cnt be the switch because ive change it with a friends (his power mirrors work) ill have to check if power is going through because no power is going to the mirrors ill check this weekend thanks for the help.
