Default is it possible to fix poor bumper allignment?

my car was in a small accident a few months back, and it returned from the body shop horrribly put back together (parents picked it up so i couldnt take it back). now my bumper doesn't completely line up with my headlights, and my hood isnt very close to my grill. i was wondering if i could take off the bumper and adjust the bumper support or something?

is it possible to adjust the bumper/headlight/grill/hood fit by yourself?

if you guys arent sure wat im talking about i'll take pics. just wondering if it can be done without a trip to teh body shop. thanks

You could do it man, not that hard, just take off the bumper and when you put it back on, just have someone look at it, and move it around until your happy with it.

About the body shop, thats bull ****... If I let someone work on my car (never), and they put the bumper on all gay, I'd bitch until they put it on the right way, its called craftsmanship, and those **** who put your bumper on didnt have any, or give a ****. I'd take it back.

put an extra screw in the part that connects to the fender, that should help a little.

looks to me like the headlamp assembly is tilted down to far. take the bumper cover off and take some pics for us. We need to know exactly waht we got here im thinking poor job on the core support.

looks like a bad job at that, they got paint overspray all over the bottome of the headlights.

just remove the bumper and get some help from a friend and move it around unitl it fits right. by the way is that an OEM honda bumper or aftermarket? that could also be the problem.

patience and adjusting will fix all

yea its oem. the shop kept assuring us of that.

thanks for giving me the confidence to take it apart and adjust (i've taken the bumper off before to clear my headlights)

i'd just like to know which parts i should adjust? headlights? bumper support?

wat do you think looks most out of whack that i should attack first?

Man, that looks worse than mine...and mine's been hit twice. I haven't taken mine to a body shop or even tried aligning it. I'd take that **** back. It doesn't look like an OEM fit.

Looks like the Headlamp assembly is tilted up to far. It also looks like the paint on the bumper doesn't match the fender but that could just be the lighting. The bumper paint seems to be slightly darker.

looks to me like the bumper is just hanging lower, so the head light looks tilted upwards.

just my 2cents.

Having a jacked bumper myself, I'm going to have to say the headlights are fine. It's just the alignment of the bumper. I have the same kind of gapping myself.

why don't you just bring it back to the place that did it and be like wtf mait!!!! if they refuse to fix it then kill em, just kidding around. I would just do what other said and put some extra washers in and see if that works out for ya...good luck and i have the same problem with my rear bumper...sucks

to be quite honest with you I dont think you want to know whats going to be involved with making everything line up pretty quick, especially if you dont have the patience to take all of your front body panels off and put some manpower on that bitch with a sledge hammer.

When I got my car back from its front end collision those idiots at body pros didnt even FIX my front light mount... so one light was flush and the other was all **** eyed.

They threw away my bumper headlight support brackets for the bumper that mount right under your headlights. So I have one on one side of the bumper and missing the other.

Lots of ***** going to need some hammering to flush your lights out... as far as the bumper on the side if you drop the front bumper just in front close to the light in the fenderwell there should be some little hooked piece of metal thats easily bent... you want that to hook under your front bumper to pull it up flush to the fender before you screw it in...

most of the time you will forget to do that when you put the bumper back on the car and its actually pushing the bumper away from the fender.

so you might want to take a look at it, either way good luck with everything.

I made my comment based on the photo of the drivers side head lamp assymbly. Sorry, I should have mentioned that, it would have cleared this up. But yes, in this photo, it looks as you described. Its really hard to tell. How about panning out a bit, and getting a straight on front shot? So we know exactly what both sides look like in comparison.
